RAW RECAP 25/11/19: A Match Not to be Mist! – Flair Vs Asuka

The Queen wanted Revenge on The Empress on Raw!

Welcome one and all to the RAW RECAP presented by THE REVELLEUTION! Survivor Series is in this history books, and NXT emerged the winners with the most victories. That included Rhea Ripley, with the aid of ‘eliminated’ teammates winning the Women’s Elimination Match for NXT lastly pinning Sasha Banks. And NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler forced Bayley to tap out in the main event, winning for NXT even at the expense of suffering an attack post-match by and angered Becky Lynch.

With TLC now on the horizon, will we see matches formed for the next big WWE Pay Per View? We know that after turning on Flair at Survivor Series, Asuka will go one on one with Charlotte Flair but will we see anything else go down? Let’s get into it, and find out…

Seth Rollins held a ‘Town Hall’ where he insulted the Raw roster including making Charlotte Flair walk out after being singled out, before the roster en mass left ringside.

LANA was ringside for a planned match with her ‘man’ Bobby Lashley, but Rusev attacked to throw the match out.

CHARLY CARUSO and SARAH SCHREIBER handled interview duties on the show.

ZELINA VEGA was ringside as Andrade picked up a win over Akira Tozawa.

Women’s Singles Match
Women’s Tag Team Champion ASUKA (w/h KAIRI SANE) defeated CHARLOTTE FLAIR

Flair had given an interview earlier in the show about Asuka’s actions at Survivor Series. The match was nicely long and well wrestled, with the action going back and forth including an exchange of submissions and counters. At one point Asuka countered Natural Selection into an Armbar attempt. When that turned into a Triangle Choke, Flair countered it into a Boston Crab that forced Asuka to the ropes.

The finish came after the action went to the floor and Flair stopped Sane from getting involved. However Sane tried to get into the ring, distracting the ref as Asuka left Flair looking like She-Hulk with a major misting. Stealing the win with a Roll-up to the blinded Flair.

Final Thoughts:

No sighting of Becky Lynch after the events of Survivor Series, but considering how ultimately pointless the brand wars are anyway that’s no major loss. The rumours are Lynch will team with Flair to face The Kabuki Warriors in possibly a TLC Match for the Tag Team Titles, and the match tonight would certainly add fuel to that possible fire. I really enjoyed the match which was nicely lengthy and well wrestled as expected! Asuka finally gets a win over Flair, even as cheap as it was but that’s her heel character now so it’s perfect. We shall see what happens next week to see if we will get that tag bout at the TLC event.

That’s your lot for this week. Be sure to stop by in seven days time for the next edition of the RAW RECAP! See you then!
