Welcome one and all to the RAW RECAP presented by THE REVELLEUTION! Following SummerSlam, things are heating up with the Women’s Division as Liv Morgan now faces two potential challengers for the Women’s World Championship. With both Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch returning to the Red Brand with sights set on Morgan’s gold. Will we see either of them get closer to becoming the outright contender? And will Sol Ruca get a measure of revenge against The Judgement Day as she selects a tag team partner to face Roxanne Perez and the woman who stole the IC title from her, Raquel Rodriguez? Let’s get into it, and find out…
This week’s ‘Arrived Earlier Today’ videos featured STEPHANIE VAQUER, BECKY LYNCH, and The Judgement Day with LIV MORGAN, ROXANNE PEREZ and RAQUEL RODRIGUEZ.
Byron Saxton interviewed The Vision with MAXXINE DUPRI backstage. Dupri boasted that Tozawa didn’t stand against her bad boy.
Dupri, along with the rest of The Vision, accompanied Austin Theory to the ring for his match against Akira Tozawa. Dupri would take a cheap shot at Tozawa during the match, slapping him in the face while Theory distracted the ref and generally taunting during the contest. Theory won without any aid from his group and Dupri encouraged Theory to beat down Tozawa after the match, handing him a chair but a pack of officials led by Adam Pearce blocked it. Dupri would have to tend to Theory when Oba Femi came out, decking Theory with a big boot before having a stare-off with Bron Breakker.

Stephanie Vaquer went to the ring for a promo. Vaquer said she was happy be here and missed being in the ring, and a cheap shot saying she missed the fans. She said she missed the Judgement Day being scared of her, and cut a mix of promo in English and her native tongue. Vaquer boasted about beating Rodriguez many times before and would do it again, and dismissed Perez as a dead woman. She called Morgan scared and said that they both know the World title belongs to her.
Becky Lynch would interrupt the promo, going to the ring. Lynch patronised Lynch with a little Spanish, and said she wanted to beat the ‘ever-loving piss’ out of Morgan, and didn’t want to see Morgan take the title ‘to the mid-2000s’. Lynch faked praise for Vaquer about making an impact in a short time, just to hypocritically say Vaquer seemed to be gone more times than she’s here (as if Lynch didn’t take months off after dropping the IC title). Lynch said Vaquer could get her revenge, but the title was hers and Lynch got boo’d when she claimed Vaquer didn’t deserve the title. Vaquer easily dismissed the entire promo, telling Lynch she didn’t care and warned her she’d find out what La Primera was all about if she got in her way. V
Vaquer merely walked off, leaving Lynch fuming and ranting in the ring but it allowed Liv Morgan to jump Lynch from behind in the ring,. Morgan tried for ObLIVion but Lynch countered with a foot to the face, and hit a BexPloder. Vaquer tried to Clothesline Morgan but she ducked, and it left Lynch and Vaquer facing off as Morgan escaped. Vaquer and Lynch would mouth off, but this time Lynch stormed off while Vaquer held the ring.
Byron Saxton interviewed SOL RUCA backstage. Ruca said she was sick of being stuck in The Judgement Day vortex, and vowed to go after the IC title after tonight. The interview was interrupted by Danhausen but Ruca, politely, turned down his offer to team tonight, saying the spot was taken.
Tag Team Match
IYO SKY & SOL RUCA defeated The Judgement Day (Women’s IC Champion RAQUEL RODRIGUEZ & ROXANNE PEREZ)
Rodriguez didn’t have the barbed wire gimmick around her title this week. Ruca and Rodriguez started the match, with Rodriguez using her strength to toss Ruca down off a Waistlock attempt. Ruca tried running up a corner for a Headlock Takeover but Rodriguez’s power blocked before she tossed Ruca away. Ruca ducked both a Clothesline and the Rewind follow-up, hitting a Forearm to the chest. Capturing Rodriguez’s arms for a Dropkick to the chest, then soon after using a cartwheel to avoid a Hiptoss attempt, but going for an X-Factor Ruca got shoved off, landing on the canvas gut-first.
Rodriguez hit the Diesel Elbows in her team’s corner, then tagging in Perez to send Perez in for a Back Elbow, followed up with stomps. Perez used a Snapmare then hit a slap. Ruca would use kicks to escape, sending Perez to the faces’ corner for a tag to Sky, before using a leg trip on Perez to set up a Sky Basement Dropkick that, in turn, allowed Ruca to hit a Senton. Sky got a two count off a Jackknife Pin. Perez escaped from a Double Underhook attempt, just to eat a Back Elbow in the faces’ corner. Ruca took a tag, but Perez got out of a Bodyslam attempt by raking the eyes. Backing into her side’s corner so Rodriguez could tag in and level Ruca with a Big Boot.
Perez was tagged back in, but Rodriguez went after Sky and hauled her into the ring. The Judgement Day paid for being cute, trying to go for Suplexes at the same time but both Ruca and Sky escaped, used flips to confuse their opponents and hit Dropkicks to send the heels to the floor. Sky tried for a Suicide Dive on Rodriguez, but she caught Sky with her strength but it left her open for Ruca to do her corner run Moonsault to the floor to wipe Rodriguez out. Perez went to run for a dive, but Ruca was way too out of position for it so Perez had to stop, climb to the apron and settle for a Crossbody off the apron to Ruca and Sky instead before the show went to a ‘commercial break’.
Back inside, Perez tagged out and held Ruca so Rodriguez could hit a clubbing blow, followed by mount punches then an Elbow Drop to give Rodriguez a near fall. Ruca got choked on the ropes, then distracted the ref so Perez could do more of the same to gift Rodriguez a near fall. Perez got a tag as Ruca was held for a stomp, then Ruca was choked again on the ropes for another two count. An arm rest hold was applied as the show returned to ‘live action’.
Rodriguez was tagged back in, and while she took a Chinbuster from Ruca she soon decked her with the Rewind Clothesline. Ruca escaped a Delayed Suplex, kneeing Rodriguez in the head a couple of times and hitting a counter X-Factor but the move more looked like it drove Rodriguez’s head into Ruca’s stomach than the mat. Tags on both sides made Perez and Sky legal. Sky hit two Arm Drags then a Shotei. Moments later, Sky on the apron blocked a Big Boot from Rodriguez and swung the leg over the ropes to hit Perez instead, before taking out Rodriguez with a Shotei to set up a Bullet Train Attack along the apron. Sky hit the Missile Dropkick, kipped up then DID THE THING!
Sky hit the Double Underhook Backbreaker but Perez kicked out at two. Perez avoided a Bullet Train Attack and sent Sky into the corner before tagging out, but Sky avoided a Powerslam and hit a Running-style Tornado DDT out the corner. Perez broke up the cover, but ate a Running Knee from Ruca. Ruca tried for a Powerbomb move but Perez used a Headscissors Takedown to send Ruca over the ropes with herself. Rodriguez hit a Reverse Suplex and tagged Perez in for the familiar combo of Rodriguez’s Blanchard Suplex, setting up the Double-Springboard Lionsault. Ruca broke up the pin, then hit her feet-to-the-back Backstabber to Rodriguez before sending her over the ropes with a Clothesline. Ruca got decked by a wild running Kick from Perez.
Perez went for perhaps a Shining Wizard on Sky but was countered, leading to a Release German Suplex then a Bullet Train Attack. Ruca was tagged and snapped off a Release German, then setting up Perez for the Moonsault but Rodriguez from the apron decked Ruca with a Clothesline before hauling Sky to the apron. Sky hit a Chinbuster to sent Rodriguez to the floor and then hit the Asai Moonsault. Perez tried to steal it with a tights-held pin but Ruca kicked out, and then Ruca countered PopRox with a handstand.
Ruca hit a Superkick then hit Sol Snatcher to pin Perez and win the match. The faces celebrated in the ring before the show moved on.
Backstage LYRA VALKYRIA confronted Sky and Ruca, giving a mocking round of applause for their win and taunting Ruca for getting a win and bitterly saying Ruca was going to backflip her way to the title. Ruca mocked Valkyria for doing nothing to get a title with, and they both threatened one another. Sky almost corpsed when Valkyria glared at her and asked what she was looking at, to which Sky just said ‘Ewww’ and Ruca said Valkyria needed to get some sleep.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
A fun tag match, giving Ruca a momentum win back but not the direct title match since she pinned Perez and not Rodriguez. Valkyria keeps yapping about the IC title but hasn’t had a match in a long while, and if she loses in any contendership match to Ruca, where does her career go from there? Elsewhere, Becky Lynch’s attempt at a babyface promo just felt like her usual ego heel stuff, just without the usual catchphrases. Vaquer was almost buried in the promo but managed to easily dismiss the rant. Lynch will need to work on her act if this is going to stick and fast, particularly if the title match happens at the upcoming Sunday Night’s Main Event special.
