Welcome one and all to the RAW RECAP presented by THE REVELLEUTION!
The participants from Raw for the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match has been set, with Roxanne Perez joining Lola Vice and Sol Ruca in the high-stakes bout. Before the PLE, Vice will make her singles debut against Perez after their war-of-words last week. Who will build some momentum heading towards MITB? And what will Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer have to say about her title rivals? Let’s get into it, and find out…

Singles Match
LOLA VICE defeated ROXANNE PEREZ
Vice got the early edge from a lock-up, taking Perez to the mat but Perez used a hairpull when they were back up to force Vice to a corner. Vice shoved Perez back and it was sold like Perez took a Dropkick, before Vice applied a Headlock.Vice would be shoved off, hitting a Shoulder Check then would counter a Hiptoss attempt to apply another Headlock. Perez would escape from the Takeover attempt, trying to grab the legs but couldn’t get a grip, and back on their fet yet again Vice went back to a Headlock.
Perez would briefly apply a Headlock of her own, getting shoved off and flipped over with a form of toss/Arm Drag. Things got a bit scrappy with an awkward dropdown for Vice to run over, before Vice ran into a wild Bang Kick and got locked into, again, a Headlock.Vice would try for a Hiptoss, but as Perez went to flip over and counter Vice countered that, attempting an Arm Bar but Perez instantly used the Roll-Up counter but using it to escape into a Headlock than going for a pin. Perez would cartwheel over Vice’s dropdown, and delivered a slap, getting hauled up for a form of Slam for her troubles.
Vice hit Knee Strikes then Kitchen Sink strikes at the ropes. Perez would bail from the ring to avoid Vice’s Spinning Backfist, and tried to leave to the back but was brought back to the ring by Vice. Back in the ring, Vice hit some open-hand Chops while keeping hold of Perez, then tried for a Lucha Arm Drag after a Springboard off the ropes. Perez (just barely) held the ropes to block the move, grounding Vice to hit a Stomp off the ropes to Vice’s face. Followed up by Perez’s wild windmill strikes.
Perez hit the Corner Running European Uppercut and rolled out, looking for a second but Vice countered with a Sleeper Hold. Perez dropped back for the classic pin counter, but Vice both kicked out at two and kept hold of the submission. The wrestlers rolled under the ropes to the floor, and Perez backed them up into the announce desk to break the Sleeper. Vice paid for her tunnel vision locking on the hold again, and this time got backed into the ring steps. Perez hit a Release Northern Lights Suplex to Vice on the floor and posed on the apron as the show went to a ‘commercial break’.
Perez bulldozed Vice into the crowd barricade then sent her back into the ring for a near fall. Perez choked Vice on the ropes a couple of times with a stomp thrown in for a two count. Perez controlled with clubbing blows then a version of a Camel Clutch, shutting down an attempt to escape but trying to drive Vice’s head into a corner was countered. Vice instead sent Perez face-first into the top buckle six times before getting a near fall off a Roll-Up. Perez would hit a kick-style version of Eat Defeat for a two count, and applied a traditional Camel Clutch but just for a moment as the show went back to ‘live action’.
Vice went to work with chest kicks, Tornado Kicks then peppering kicks to back Perez in a corner. Setting up for two Running Hip Attacks with some extra ‘face’ applied after the shots. Vice hit a Back Suplex for a near fall. Perez countered a charge and sent Vice throat-first into the middle rope, leaving her in position for the European Uppercut to the back. That, in turn, set up things for the Double-bounce Lionsault for a near fall. Perez applied a Crossface and tried to be smart, using the ropes to kick off and roll both women back to the middle of the ring but Vice used the momentum to escape, locking on a Triangle Choke. Perez countered with a Jackknife Pin for a near fall.
Vice hit a round of strikes, just to be caught at the ropes with a Perez European Uppercut. Vice would hit a Roundhouse Kick to the head, only for a Waistlock to be countered with a Samson Clutch for a two count. Perez would duck another head kick and hit a Bang Kick, running the ropes thinking for PopRox but instead ran into the M.I.A. Spinning Backfist from Vice, giving Vice the win.
After the match, RAQUEL RODRIGUEZ laid out Vice with a Big Boot. As Rodriguez laid in some stomps, SOL RUCA ran out to try and even the odds. Sliding in through Rodriguez’s legs and hit a Springboard Crossbody. Soon after a Springboard Missile Dropkick but when she tried for a Sol Snatcher, Perez grabbed her at the corner. That allowed Rodriguez to scoop her out and plant her with a Tijana Bomb. Rodriguez’s held Vice to take a Bang Kick from Perex then PopRox. Leaving the faces laid out as the heels briefly posed then left the scene.
An ‘earlier today’ video showed IYO SKY with Adam Pearce, before LYRA VALKYRIA showed up to complain, claiming that her win over Bayley last week should mean she’s first in line. Sky objected to Valkyria’s attitude and Valkyria complained that Sky lost and didn’t deserve any chances. After a shouting match, Pearce made a match official between the two and Valkyria demanded a title match if she won. Sky remarked that Valkyria had ‘issues’ after she left.
JACKIE REDMOND handled interview duties. That included interviewing Stephanie Vaquer backstage and claimed that she was ready to fight. However, she said that her rivals Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan would have to face each other first. Saying she spoke with Adam Pearce to make a Contendership Match between the two for next week, with the winner facing Vaquer at Money in the Bank.
Singles Match
IYO SKY defeated LYRA VALKYRIA
Things started technical with a swap of arm holds off the initial lock-up, before Valkyria used a hairpull to back Sky to the ropes. Valkyria would keep control with more technical holds, soon taking Sky to the mat for a kick to the back. A mocking boot to the head fired up Sky to get up and wrench in a Headlock with theatrics. After being shoved off, Sky held onto the ropes as Valkyria did a leapfrog, allowing Sky to hit her combo of a Legtrip followed by a Basement Dropkick. Moments later, Sky flipped to her feet to counter a Monkey Flip but moments later Valkyria countered a pin attempt into a Pendulum stretch, turned into the Billy Goat’s Curse then just stomping the legs into the mat.
Sky used misdirection, did flips then hit a Dropkick. A Baseball Slide missed when Valkyria ducked but Sky hit a Superkick, and moments later a Crossbody off the crowd barricade. Sky tried for a Asai Moonsault but Valkyria got to the apron, shoving off Sky to leave her hung upside down on the ropes. Open to take a Dropkick along the apron as the show went to a ‘commerical break’.
Valkyria drove Sky into the announce table, and back inside got a two count. Working over Sky with a European Uppercut and a haul off the ropes for another near fall. Elbow shots lead to a resthold facelock, and Sky escaped with a toss overhead but Valkyria sidestepped the Dropkick from the middle rope. A Northern Lights Suplex got Valkyria a near fall. She locked on a form of Crossface Chickenwing Sky elbowed her way out, and Sky escaped from a Nightwing grip just as the show went back to ‘live action’.
Sky hit a couple of Arm Drags then a Flapjack, before moments later hitting a Missile Dropkick from the top, kipping up after and DOING THE THING.Valkyria cut off the Bullet Train Attack with her Jumping Enzigiri, followed by the Sit-out Doctor Bomb for a near fall. Sky shoved Valkyria off from a Tornado DDT attempt, but Valkyria would counter the Double Underhook, rolling through a Jackknife Pin to capture Sky on her shoulders trying for Nightwing. Sky rolled through it for the Double Stomp then hit a Buzzsaw Kick. Sky got the Double Underhook Backbreaker but just got a near fall.
Sky would counter a Waistlock by running forward to the ropes, vaulting herself to the outside through the cables to leave Valkyria hitting them. Valkyria would cut off Sky at the apron, using her Legsweep to drop Sky onto the apron. Going out and hitting a Fisherwoman’s Buster to Sky on the apron, mocking Sky’s taunt but it gave Sky the break to avoid Valkyria’s Dropkick through the ropes, and Sky would duck a Roundhouse on the outside (meant for Valkyria to hit the ringpost but she missed it by a mile). Sky hit the Asai Moonsault to Valkyria then sent her in, htting the Bullet Train Attack but took too much time going up as Valkyria shoved her off. Hitting a Backbreaker with Sky draped from the ropes for a near fall.
Valkyria went up top but BAYLEY showed up on the announce table, distracting Valkyria who went for her Legdrop but ate a Dropkick counter instead. Allowing Sky to hit Over the Moonsault for the victory. Sky gloated about her win at the bottom of the aisle while Bayley and Valkyria traded stares.
Not long after the Sky-Valkyria match, Bayley cut a promo about Valkyria. Mocking Valkyria about her past wins over her, but warned that was going to be enough to stop her. Noting that it wasn’t her fault that Valkyria couldn’t win a World title in her first few years when she had, and told her rival it wasn’t over until she said it was. She called herself the standard of Women’s Wrestling and vowed their issues were far from over.
BECKY LYNCH was interviewed by Byron Saxton. Lynch started arrogantly boasting that she’s made the World title picture more interesting in just two months, before LIV MORGAN interrupted. Morgan mocked Lynch for bringing nothing to the table, and claimed she deserved the title match. Lynch mocked Morgan for knowing she can’t win matches on her own, but the segment ended without any physicality.
Announced for next week’s Raw was a Tag Team Match pitting The Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez against Sol Ruca and Lola Vice. Along with the already announced Contendership Match between Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan.
The storyline between The Bloodline and the 946 faction took a different turn with the debut of NXT’s JAIDA PARKER. First appearing early in the show when Jacob Fatu and The Usos swarmed around an appearing car, but instead of the 946 as expected it was Parker, saying she was just here to meet with General Manager Adam Pearce. Later, in the main event segment, the brawl between the factions led to the backstage area. Jacob Fatu would be left set up, getting ‘run over’ by a car as Jadia Parker was the driver. Faking that she was sorry when she got out, but soon showing her true colours, telling Fatu ‘Ain’t Nobody Safe’ before leaving with Royce Keys in his car to prove it was all a set-up.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
A hit and a miss night in terms of the matches. Lola Vice and Roxanne Perez didn’t deliver and there was clear misscommunication and issues between the duo. Not as bad as their infamous NXT Women’s Championship Match a few years back but this still missed the mark. Vice even lost some crowd support during the match with brief ‘Lola Sucks’ chants so there’s work to be done to get her over along with other issues. The Sky-Valkyria match was good, and did the job to keep the Bayley storyline going. Elsewhere, the WWE made it seem like Vaquer would adresss her opponents with a proper segment, only for it to be a brief backstage interview. Dissapointing, but we’ll see if the Contendership Match next week leds to the expected Triple Threat Match or not for the World Title. Lastly, Jadia Parker joining the 946 actually makes sense from a history perspective since she in NXT was part of OTM who are part of the group with Keys. It certainly was unexpected but more new blood is never a bad thing, but we’ll see if she gets a chance to shine or if it’s a case of things are with Maxxine Dupri, being held back by being a manager.
